Libya, France sign memorandum of understanding in national safety field

The National Safety Department has signed a memorandum of understanding with the French Ministry of Interior on the sidelines of the Libyan-French Civil Defense Forum, held in Tunisia.

The memorandum included cooperation in the field of training programs for firefighters, as well as civil safety, rescue operations, and a number of other security areas.

The signing ceremony was attended by Libyan Interior Ministry, Fathi Bashagha and French Ambassador to Libya, Beatrice de Helen, in addition to interior ministry officials from both countries.

Several French companies specialized in the field of security also participated in the forum, according to the Information Office of Libya's Interior Ministry.
