The Japanese Embassy in Libya, represented by Chargé d’Affairs Masaki Amadera, and the World Food Program, represented by Libya Country Director Maysa Al-Gharibawi, signed Thursday, an agreement on food Programme.

The agreement was signed under the supervision of the GNU Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Social Affairs.

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that this agreement comes within the framework of Japan's support for the operations of the World Food Program in Libya, as well as within the framework of enhancing regional and international efforts and partnerships to achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals.

The WFP is working in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Libya to enhance efforts to support attainment of food security, including supporting and developing the National School Nutrition Programme.
