Italy has affirmed the importance of involving Tunisia in the international conference on Libya, to be held in Berlin in the coming period.
Italian Ambassador to Tunisia said during a meeting with Tunisian Parliament Speaker, Rashid Ghannouchi, on Tuesday, that his country believes that Tunisia has an important role to play in solving the Libyan crisis.
The Tunisian Parliament has emphasized in a statement that Tunisia is keen to see the crisis in Libya resolved in a political manner.
"Tunisia is keen to see a settlement in Libya away from military solutions, "Therefore, it endeavors to be part of the Berlin Conference," the statement read, indicating that Tunisia stands at the same distance from all parties to the dispute in Libya.
