The Italian capital Rome hosted Wednesday the 14th session of the "Five plus Five Defence" initiative meeting, which includes Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and Malta.
The meeting discussed several key issues, including building and training support programs, maritime and air surveillance, illegal migration, and development of relief and rescue efforts in the Mediterranean.
It should be noted that Libya will assume the presidency of the initiative "Five Plus Five Defence" for the year 2019.
