The Italian General Commander of the Italian Police, Lieutenant General Teo Luzi, expected new activity aimed at achieving stability in Libya and Iraq.

Luzi told the Italian Foreign and Defense Committees that despite the continued division in Libya, they have a five-year plan to tackle the Libyan situation benefitting the Libyan security sector as part of joint defense cooperation.

The Lieutenant General indicated that three Italian officers had been tasked with advisory missions as part of the European Union’s project that aims to help police in Libya and other countries, especially in establishing border patrols to fight terrorism.
