The head of the Civil Status Department, Mohammed Baltmer revealed that the Ministry of Interior had formed a committee to verify cases of falsification of ID national numbers, under the supervision of the Attorney General Office.
"The Civil Status Department will provide an accurate database after 4 months from now, to end the debate on the fact of manipulation of ID numbers," Baltmer said in a press statement, saying that reports about the falsification of a million national number is inaccurate and excessive, according to him.
He also denied having problems with the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) in terms of the house-holds grant, calling on the Audit Bureau to assess the work of both institutions to avoid any mistakes.
