The Interior Minister of the east-based Interim Government launched a new security plan to secure the city of Benghazi, declaring at the same time the high state of alert, following the deterioration of the security situation in the city.

"The new security plan will continue for three consecutive months with the encircling of the main city entrances and conducting night patrols across the city," the Interior Ministry said on Facebook.
