Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqila Saleh, received Tuesday, in the city of Al-Bayda, head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Ghassan Salame.
Salame emphasized the need to end the political stalemate in Libya, and the mission's efforts to consolidate state institutions and reach an understanding among Libyans on a way forward, in addition to making progress in the political and legislative process.
Salame arrived Monday in Benghazi and met with the so-called Dignity Operation leader, Khalifa Hafter and the steering council of Benghazi, as well as a number of members of the HoR for the eastern region.
