Members of the High Council of State (HCS) have called for an urgent investigation into the data of the Civil Registry Authority, which they said affects the Libyan national security.

The Information Office of the HCS president pointed out that the HCS had received a letter from the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya demanding urgent measures be taken to ensure the verification of databases of the Civil Registry Authority, which showed significant differences in the statistics of Libyan citizens during the process of selling foreign exchange to the Libyan families that began last year, according to the governor Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir.
