Officials from the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Accord (GNA) held a meeting to discuss difficulties which hamper the reopening of the Ras Ajdir border crossing with Tunisia.

The Media Office of the Ras Ajdir Border Security Directorate said that the meeting, held on Tuesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Tripoli, discussed the problems and possible solutions to the reopening of the border, which must be coordinated with the Tunisian Foreign Ministry, along with all concerned authorities within Tunisia, in order to find progressive solution to the ongoing problems.

It added that these solutions must also ensure the safety and well-being of all travellers and their mutual benefit, according to international laws in force, which must be adhered to throughout the process.
