German Ambassador offers solutions to resolve the electricity crisis in Libya

The German Ambassador to Libya, Oliver Owcza, presented several proposals to rid Libya of the electricity crisis which the country has been suffering for years and which, lately has worsened drastically.

This came during a visit by the ambassador on Tuesday to the headquarters of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Cooperation in European Affairs.

According to a statement released by the GECOL, the Ambassador’s proposals included subscribing to transparency and decision-making methods, providing a safe and adequate environment to increase investor confidence, providing visions for development of human resources and training, focusing on customer awareness and rationalization, along with necessity of exploration of renewable energy projects.
