The media head of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Mohamed al-Takouri confirmed Wednesday, the restore of electricity power to areas of Awainat, Ghat, and Barkat, after the completion of maintenance services which lasted two days.
Al-Takouri explained in a press statement that the company's technician teams are continuing their experiments at Ubari plant, denying the plant's readiness to enter the network in the coming days.
Contracts regarding the importing of steam stations to Misurata and Tripoli with a capacity of 2000 megawatts is still under routine administrative procedures, according to Takouri.
