The Foreign Minister, Mohammed Sayala said that the Ministry is in the process of assisting Libyan citizens stranded in Istanbul in cooperation with the Libyan Consulate there.
During a joint press conference with the Ministers of Transport and Health, Sayala emphasized that work was in progress to ensure the safe return of Libyan citizens stranded in Turkey by way of travel through the land border with Tunisia.
Sayala added that the crossing will be open to returning Libyans only, however, diplomatic missions such as United Nations will be granted entry also, stressing that all individuals entering the country would be subject to stringent health checks by the Ministry of Health.
