Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that several countries have requested that Turkish companies begin exploring for gas in its fields.

Speaking to a local TV channel on Wednesday, Erdogan disclosed that Turkey received proposals from various countries in this regard, among them Libya.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu had previously indicated that the hydrocarbon agreement signed between Libya and Turkey aims to establish cooperation between exploration companies of both states, according to the concept of mutual profit.
