Demonstrations continue for the third day in Tripoli

Martyrs Square in Tripoli, yesterday, witnessed demonstrations for the third day in a row, denouncing corruption and calling for the provision of basic essential services.

The demonstrators raised banners calling for improvement in daily living conditions, accountability for those holding positions, involved in corruption cases, demanding the reopening of ports and oil fields to improve the provision of electricity.

They also stressed their eagerness to return Libya to a civilian state, with no place for military rule.

In recent days, Tripoli, amongst other cities has witnessed demonstrations calling for an end to fighting and corruption and for the unification of state institutions and the bypassing of lengthy transitional stages.
