The National Center for Disease Control in Sabha has claimed that they have not received support so far, to assist in facing any potential emergencies in that region.
The director of the center, Abdul Hamid Al-Fakhiri, stated that they do not possess, in the entire southern region, a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) device, which is used in molecular biology to detect the Coronavirus.
Al Fakhiri added that the center had prepared and equipped an isolation unit for quarantine, however, its capacity is for a maximum of 8 families and lacks essential medical supplies to deal with an outbreak.
