The British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, is to head an international meeting on Libya on Thursday with the participation of representatives from the United States, France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, as well as the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame.

The British Foreign Office confirmed in a press statement on Wednesday that the meeting will focus on the latest developments in Libya.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson had stated previously that the London meeting would aim at restricting the activities of regional countries that are adding to the chaos in Libya.
