Civil activist, Osama Al-Oreibi

Civil activist, Osama Al-Oreibi is still being detained in the military prison of Koueifiyah east of Benghazi, since his arrest on April 15 on charges of talking to people opposing the "army" and its leadership, according to press sources in the city.

The sources explained that the internal security arrested Osama Al-Oreibi without a judicial warrant and had refused to respond to his family's requests to refer him to the prosecutor's office.

Cities under the control of Haftar militias are witnessing large-scale arrests of all those opposing Haftar's military campaign against the western region.

Earlier, notorious TV presenter Mohammed Imtal said that freedom of speech is prohibited and anyone speaks against “the army and its leadership” would be imprisoned.
