Armed clashes broke out in Bani Walid town on Tuesday between so-called Rapid Support and Intervention Force (RSIF) of the Ministry of the Interior and one of the groups described as outlaws and wanted for justice.

A source from the town said the RSIF attempted to enter a home belonging to a displaced family from the south to arrest a number of wanted criminals after receiving information on their whereabouts, but a number of family members refused their entry, causing a number of shots being fired randomly from both sides.

One of the shots caused the death of a citizen and the injury of four others with moderate wounds.
