The Supreme Advisory Committee to Combat Coronavirus has recommended closing educational institutions for a period of three weeks, given that the country has reached the fourth level of the Coronavirus outbreak.

“The results of the survey, which was conducted on some schools, showed that educational institutions were not prepared and did not adhere to health safety measures”, Ali Al-Mgadami, a member of the committee, said.

Al-Mgadami also added in a press statement that the committee is studying stopping travel to countries in which the new strain of Coronavirus appeared, or reducing the number of trips to it, in order to prevent the spread of the new strain in the country.

It is noteworthy that schools opened their doors for the primary stage on January 2, 2021.
