Algeria's ambassador to Libya, Suleiman Shannin, has denied what was reported by the House of Representatives (HoR) that "Algeria supports the HoR as the only legitimate elected authority in the country, and supported all the decisions issued by it."
Shannin stressed that Algeria stands at the same distance from all Libyan parties, contrary to what was published by the HoR.
He also reiterated his country’s support for consensual solutions between all Libyans to achieve security and stability in Libya and preserve its sovereignty and unity, in addition to enshrining the right of the Libyan people to choose their representatives and political institutions.
