The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush, confirmed on Wednesday the government's continuous work to hold parliamentary and presidential elections according to an agreed constitutional basis to achieve the demands of the Libyan people in imposing security and stability inside the country.

This came during her meeting with Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard, during which they discussed ways to enhance relations and strategic cooperation between the two countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs media office.

For her part, the Canadian ambassador reiterated her country's support for the efforts of the Government of National Unity (GNU).
