The Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush discussed in a meeting with the Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmad Aboul Gheit the latest developments in the political process and holding elections based on a constitutional framework that is agreed upon by all parties.

The meeting was in preparation for Arab League 158 ministerial summit that is going to be held in Cairo on Tuesday with Libya as the chair.

"The two sides reviewed the need for a unified stance on the challenges facing Arab countries and supporting joint interests of the member states of the Arab League.

The last Arab League ministerial summit Libya chaired was the 140th one in September 2013.
