Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani received on Thursday, the member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi and his accompanying delegation, to discuss issues of common interest.

The two sides discussed supporting investment in the public and private sectors through the Libyan-Mauritanian joint committee, the revival of the Arab Maghreb Union, and Libya's accession to the Group of Five Sahel States (G5) due to its active role in the region, in addition to the national reconciliation file, the path to stability in Libya.

For his part, President Ghazouani stressed the depth of the Libyan-Mauritanian relations and ways to strengthen them to serve the interests of the two peoples.
