Airbus A320 of the Libyan Airline fleet is set to return to service after a seven-year hiatus, the airline confirmed.

The company said that on Friday, the aircraft run successfully the pilot tests under the registration of (LAH) after completing the necessary maintenance, led by Captain Moussi Al-Baroni and Captain Fatehi Al-Shatti.

It noted that the test was conducted in the presence of representatives from the Tunisian Maintenance Company with Airbus.

Libyan Airlines said it is in the process of completing the operating certificate for the aircraft so it could return to work within its fleet.

The Airbus A320 was damaged in 2014 during clashes in Tripoli International Airport.
