The Ukrainian Embassy in Tunisia announced on Sunday the release of one of its nationals who was abducted two days ago in the city of Sabha in the southern region.
On its website, the embassy said that the released citizen works as a doctor in private clinic in Sabha and was abducted by an armed group, without revealing information about their identity.
The release of the doctor came after an agreement reached by Ukrainian diplomats during negotiations with the dignitaries of the city, according to the embassy.
The Ukrainian Embassy called on all its citizens in Libya to leave the country immediately due to the difficulty of settling such issues diplomatically in the current circumstances in which Libya is going through.
