The US Embassy in Libya has announced the graduation of more than 50 Libyan explosive ordnance disposal personnel.

The Embassy said in a statement on Thursday that the graduation comes as part of a training program with the support of the US, British and German governments to safely dispose of explosive hazards, including Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

For its part, the British Embassy in Libya said that its country supports the program to reduce the risk of explosive materials and remnants of war in Libya in order to enhance the capabilities of Libya to address the dangers of explosives in a safe manner and to facilitate the return of displaced persons to their areas.
