The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has confirmed that more than 4,000 migrants have been returned to Libya since the beginning of 2022, while 95 have drowned and 381 are missing, noting that last year 32,425 migrants were returned to Libya.

4013 people, 122 of whom are minors have been intercepted in the central Mediterranean region and returned to Libya since the beginning of the year, the IOM added, indicating that from April 10 to 16, 45 migrants were returned, while 95 migrants died last January and 662 others are missing.

Last Friday, six bodies were recovered after a small wooden boat carrying around 35 migrants capsized off the coast of Sabratha, last Friday, while 29 others are missing and presumed dead.
