The Zuwara Coast Guard rescued 100 illegal immigrants from different nationalities off the western coast of the city.

The commander of Zuwara Coast Guard, Mansur Tor, said that the immigrants were on board a rubber boat that broke down off the city.

Tor added that some of the illegal immigrants were of Moroccan and Algerian nationality as well as Somalis, Eritreans and Libyans.

Earlier, the Libyan Navy spokesman Brigadier General Ayoub Qassem said that 324 illegal immigrants were rescued, including 32 Libyans, off the coast of Zuwara.
