Mellitah Oil and Gas Company said that it had started drilling operations of two new oil wells as part of the company's efforts to develop the offshore producing fields in order to boost the daily oil production of the country.
On its website, the company clarified that all technical and logistical means have been provided at Platform No. 4 in the Al-Bouri offshore field to start drilling operations.
The Department of Drilling and Maintenance of Wells, in cooperation with the General Department of Operations, started last March preparations for the drilling process, in particular the maintenance of the main crane in platform No. 4 to participate in the handling operations and lifting equipment for drilling and packaging operations.
