The Tunisian city of Hammamet is to host between 20-22 of November the Libyan International Oil Services Conference organized by the Supreme Council of Libyan and Tunisian Businessmen (SCLTB).

The head of SCLTB, Abdulhafeez Al-Sukrofi, told to Afrigate news website on Monday that the conference will see the participation of international companies specialized in the oil sector, including 8 from Russia and 6 from China, in addition to two others from the US.

The conference is due to host international representatives, oil industry experts and officials to explore and discuss investment opportunities in Libya after war damage.

Among the meeting's goals is to provide networking opportunities and to encourage discussion among up to 200 participants from around the world. Both energy ministers of the Presidential Council and the east-based interim government are expected to attend the conference.

The talks will also address the mechanisms of scaling up oil services, and will include a presentation of the national oil companies, setting up examples of the damage caused by the war since 2011, as well as offers from foreign companies, including new projects in the geological exploration field.
