Libyan businessmen met on Tuesday in Tunis to discuss the post-17 February economic challenges in Libya. The Libyan Businessmen Organization member, Al-Mahdi Abdulati, said that the private sector is the only savior that can rescue the country where the security is abundantly deteriorating, adding that the aim of the meeting is to form solid recommendations that can support the dialogue and the fourth draft of the political settlement. “The meeting also proposed to change the policy of the Central Bank of Libya, knowing that the increase of salaries, which made up about 70% of the country’s budget, and the decrease of exportations both are the main reason for the deficit in Libya’s economy.” He concluded.
