An uneasy calm has descended on Al-Zawiya city and armed clashes have ceased, according to sources from the city.

The member of Tobruk’s House of Representatives, Tariq Al-Jarushi, said Tuesday that the UN-proposed government’s defense minister-designate, Mihdi Al-Barghathi’s statements were stimulated by foreign ambassadors and intelligence apparatuses. He added that Al-Barghathi has always been “a dubious figure” for the “General Command of the Army” and he joined Dignity Operation after being  pressed by his brigade’s officers, urging him to remain silent and turn himself in immediately.

The Un-proposed government’s Presidential Council has formed the General Commission of the General Electricity Company, which it said will be headed by Fayez Al-Sirraj, with his two deputies, Fathi Al-Mijbri and Abdelsalam Kajman, as well as four others, including the government’s Planning Minister, as members.

An unknown group stormed into the emergency unit at Abu Salim Accidents Hospital and attacked one of the surgeons on the Tuesday night rota, a source from the hospital has reported, adding that the doctors and staffers left the hospital immediately after the assault had happened. The sources also said that the medical staff went on a strike to protest the incident.

Spokesman of the special forces affiliated to Khalifa Haftar said a fighter from the First Brigade was killed in a landmine blast near Al-Gawarsha neighborhood in western Benghazi, as Haftar’s forces were advancing on the European Hospital axis in Al-Gawarsha, according to his statement.

The car of the political consultant at the Libyan Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, Anam Yaga, exploded Wednesday. The surveillance cameras showed afterward that a person had placed an explosive device under her car before he went away on a motorcycle ridden by his accomplice. The car was blown up minutes after they had left and caused only material damage. The embassy, appointed by the Un-proposed government preferred to delay its comments till the investigation is done.

The spokesman of the Dignity Operation forces, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said Egypt provided ammunition and weapons overhaul equipment for what he described as the Libyan Army Forces. Talking to Egyptian Youm 7 newspaper, he expressed gratefulness for the UAE's stance that is backing up the “army” politically, logistically, and by providing ammunition.

At least 17 supporters of Ibrahim Jodran's so-called Petroleum Facilities Guard were abducted by Dignity Operation militia groups in the towns of the oil crescent region on Wednesday.
