The Libya Observer’s Housam Najjair visited the Tawerghan internally displaced persons (IDPs) camp in Fellah to report on the living conditions, health and future prospects of IDPs from Tawergha who are now in their sixth year of expulsion from their hometown.
On inspection, not all is as it seems in the Tawergha-Misrata standoff. According to our contact who is the spokesperson of the Tawerghan Local Council, it is now the responsibility of the current governments to insure that the great accomplishments made by elders and council representatives are materialized through the stipulations of the agreement that was signed by both sides and the GNA.
Our report sheds light on the latest on the crisis and what lays ahead for IDPs from Tawergha on their long journey home.
