The ancient castle of Nalut in the Nafusa Mountain, western Libya, is one of the forgotten treasures of the country. It’s not known when the castle was built, but historians believe it goes back to the tenth or eleventh century AD.

It was constructed to contain 400 rooms and basements for storing grains and oil.
