The mayor of Central Tripoli, Al-Mahdi Al-Harati has urged foreign embassies and consulates as well as civil aviation and international companies to come back to Libya and resume work in normal manners by delivering services to the Libyan citizens.

Al-Harati reaffirmed in a statement the municipality’s readiness to do its best in terms of administrative, security and technical measures so that a secure and safe environment is created for work implementation.

He also called on all the security departments in Tripoli to cooperate with the municipality in applying the needed plans to secure the capital, reiterating his rejection of any foreign intervention in Libya’s domestic affairs.

The mayor concluded his statement by suggesting the formation of a national peacekeeping force with international standards aiming at securing the cities and residential areas as well as the vital institutions starting from the capital, Tripoli to make it a city of peace.
