The first international flight from Zintan Airport took off last Tuesday to Lagos Airport in Nigeria to deport illegal immigrants.

The airport's authority clarified that the flight was on board the Buraq Air, where 160 illegal immigrants, including men, women, and children, were flown to their country Nigeria, pointing out that flights will continue to transfer other batches of illegal immigrants.

Zintan Airport was officially opened in 2012, but its service was only limited on domestic flights before starting to conduct international flights last Tuesday.
