Jordan decided to Monday to impose visa on Libyan nationals, a step that would create burden on Libyan travellers.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry said Libyans will be required to apply for a visa as from December 15, while diplomatic passport holders will be exempted.

According to the decision, Libyan travellers to Jordan will be also required to meet residency requirements.

In September, Turkey re-imposed visa on Libyans after cancelling it in 2009.

The Jordanian measure would weigh on Libyan travellers who are left with only few countries accessible without visa including Tunisia and Algeria.
