The Libyan Post, Telecommunications and IT Holding Company (LPTIC) held a preparation meeting for Digital Libya Conference which will take place in Tunisia in late October in coordination with the Arab Organization for IT and Telecommunications Technologies.

The conference aims to help Libya devise a roadmap to build a digital economy harmonious with the world economy using cutting-edge technology, according to LPTIC.

LPTIC added that the conference contains three phases: devising a digital Libya vision, convening the conference to present the vision and then discussing with stakeholders the implementation of the vision to reach recommendations that can be implemented as per a work plan and a timeline.

LPTIC said the conference is expected to also devise a vision for the Libyan telecommunications infrastructure, raising the qualifications of Libyan cadres in telecommunications, technology and IT among other positive additions.
