The match between Libya’s Al-Itihad and Niger’s Saun Deep in the preliminary round of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup 2016 was delayed due to a strike held by workers at Niamey airport in Niger.

“The match could be postponed and played later, or it could be rendered as a win for the Libyan team, and we’re waiting for the decision of the African Football Federation, which will decide in the coming two days.” Explained the head of the media committee of the Libyan Football Federation, Zain Al-Abideen Burkan.

Worth mentioning is that Al-Itihad beat the Nigerien club, Saun Deep, 4-1 in the first leg match in Tunisia, while the second-leg one was to take place on Saturday in Niger.
