Minister of Sports Abdul Shafie Al-Jouifi, discussed with the President of the Libyan Football Federation (LFF), Abdel-Hakim Al-Shalmani, issues of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the ministry and the Federation.

Hamzah Al Mahdawi, Director of the Information and Communication Office at the Ministry of Sports, clarified in statements to The Libya Observer that the meeting dealt with the LFF preparations for the upcoming African and international competitions.

"The meeting discussed the LFF needs in terms of the financial support and training camps, besides developing local stadiums according to international specifications," Al Mahdawi said.

The two sides also touched upon the settlement of previous financial obligations and other files related to the development of football in Libya and achieving positive gains in this game, according to the ministry's media office.

The Minister of Sports affirmed his keenness to provide all necessary support to the athletes and the national team, stressing the importance of exerting efforts to achieve what Libyans are hoping for and rais the national flag in international forums.
