Libya's Al-Ittihad won 1-0 over Niger's Sahel on Saturday evening at Al-Tayeb Al-Mahiri Stadium in Tunisia's Sfax for the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Al-Ittihad's Mouad Essa scored the winner at the minute 90 and gave his team the upper hand in the first leg match.

The two halves of the match saw Al-Ittihad putting out doubled efforts with several attempts by the players to score, including two quick shots in the injury time, until the late winner came and put the team through to the second leg match.

The second leg match, which will decide who goes through to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup, will be played on February 20 in Niamey, Niger.
