Libyan Judo national team (young and under-16) arrived in Egypt Wednesday to participate in the African Championship that is supposed to kick off Thursday in Sharm el Sheikh.

220 players from 18 African countries are to compete in the African Championship, which ends on July 30. Libya will be represented by six players; Osama Al-Hazil, Walid Araibi, and Ali Masoud for the young team, and Al-Baraa Fakher Addin, Mohammed Abu Shagour, and Azmi Abdelbasit for the under-16 team.

The Libyan Judo team, coached by Zakareya Al-Aswad, resumed preparation for this sports event back in the beginning of June by training in local camp in Tripoli.
