The Libyan Interior Ministry said it will send 3000 Libyan fans to support the national soccer team against South Africa in the AFCON 2019 qualifier match which will be held in Tunisia's Sfax.

The ministry said the transport of the fans will be coordinated with the Sports and Youths Authority.

It added that the fans will be chosen from all regions by a new committee that has been formed for this matter and will be travelling after due arrangements are made with security, border and passports authorities.

Tunisia said earlier it would allow 10000 Libyan fans to attend the game against Bafana Bafana on March 24.

Libya's soccer team left to Tunisia on Friday for preparation before the match, which is the last in Group 5 of AFCON 2019 qualifiers. AFCON will be held in Egypt next June.

Libya needs a win regardless of the score in order to qualify for the AFCON along with Nigeria. South Africa qualifies with a draw or a win.
