The Libyan national football team has descended by five positions in March ranking table of the FIFA World Ranking and it has now become 112 with 314 points after ranking 107 internationally 30 on Africa, 12 on Arab teams last February with 319 points.

According to the FIFA World Ranking, which was posted Thursday on the FIFA official website, Libya came 32 in African teams’ ranking, while it came 13 in Arab teams’ ranking after Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Mauritania, Iraq and Syria.

The Libyan team played two matches against Sao Tome and Principe as part of the AFCON qualifiers, Gabon 2017, where it lost the first leg match 1-2 and won the second leg one 4-0.

Thus, Libya came third in (group six) of the AFCON qualifiers, possessing 3 points from 4 matches ahead of Sao Tome, the fourth, by scoring more goals. While Morocco came first in the group with 12 points and Cape Verde came second with 6 points.
