The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has decided to terminate the contract in mutual agreement with the Spanish coach of the national Libyan team, Javier Clemente, a source close to the LFF said on Monday.

The source said the LFF was considering a number of replacement options and the pick will be announced soon in the coming days.

This termination of Clemente’s contract came after general disapproval of the results of the Libyan first team, especially after the exit from World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

Clemente coached the Libyan team in 11 matches, achieving three wins, one draw and seven losses. The team scored six goals and conceded 13.
