The Libyan Football Federation announced Wednesday that it had assigned the national coach, Jalal Al-Damja, as the coach of the national soccer team after the Spanish coach, Javier Clemente was sacked almost a month ago.

Al-Dmaja will pick up from where Clemente finished in the track of leading Libya to through the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Clemente was sacked after the humiliating loss to Congo in the team’s first World Cup qualifier.

The Libyan Football Federation also assigned Abdel Atti Al-Gabbi as an assistant manager, Mohammed Al-Busaifi as goalkeepers’ coach and Adel Al-Khamaisi as the administrative manager.
