Libyan Marwan Al-Maqhour, a member of the executive office of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG) has participated in the ICMG executive board meeting, which was held through video conference.

The meeting was attended by members of the executive bureau and chairmen of the committees of Libya, Algeria, Greece, Tunisia, Syria, Italy, France, Spain, Albania, and Croatia.

According to the Olympic page on Facebook, the meeting reviewed a number of topics, including the spillovers of the Coronavirus pandemic on sports and how it affected the staging of sporting events around the world, stressing the need to develop measures for the coming sports competitions, according to new recommendations.

The participants also discussed the consequences of postponing the Tokyo Olympic Games to 2021 and the Mediterranean Games in Oran To 2022, in addition, the consequences of delaying the National Olympic Committees' meetings and their elections which are usually held every four years.

The ICMG officials agreed to convene another meeting on the 3rd of June next.
