The organizing committee of Libya Hope tournament has announced, in a press conference Wednesday from Al-Mahari, Radisson Blu hotel, that the tournament will officially kick-start on Thursday.
The Chairman assistant of the organizing committee, Ibrahim Al-Jamal, announced that the tournament aims at reviving the football scene in Libya, pointing out that it delivers a message to all Libyans saying that sports can unite all of the Libyan people from all around the country, stressing that all sports clubs must send such a message to spread awareness among people.
The tournament that kicks off today, March 17, has been divided into 4 groups, the first includes Darnes, Khaleej Sirte, and Al-Mahalla teams, while the second group includes Al-Naser, Zliten, Abi Al-Ashuher, and Al-Olampi teams.
The Third group of the tournament consists of Al-Itihad, Al-Suqoor, Al-Suwaihli, and Al-Tarasana, and the fourth includes Al-Sharara, Al-Wihda, and Al-Shatt.
The tournament takes place in three Tripoli-based stadiums – Tripoli International Stadium, Janzour Academy Stadium, Al-Tarasana club stadium.
