Libya's national football team drew Niger 0-0 in the first match of the Cameroon-hosted African Nations Championship (CHAN) in the second group that also contains Congo and DR Congo.

The match had a very slow pace and the two teams couldn't score from any chances during the game, as Libya tried in the first half to possess the ball and attack Niger to score but failed to translate the chances into goals.

In the second half, Niger had some chances to attack Libya to score a winning goal as the Libyan players appeared to retreat with apparent weak physical status; hence, the two teams won a point as they await their next matches.

Libya will play Congo next Thursday, while Niger will play DR Congo as the second match of the second group of the Cameroon-hosted African Nations Championship.
